IMPROVING THE NATIONAL DIALOGUE

IMPROVING THE NATIONAL DIALOGUE

The rationalization of human intellect and reason calls for a tranquil setting. The prevailing socio-economic and political disturbances in Pakistan are obstacles in the way of the pursuit of national interests when the rationality of human beings is suppressed by personal desires. As a result, chaos, animosity, and anarchism become the destination.

A state's domestic and foreign policies suffer as a result of domestic chaos and rivalry.

Pakistan possesses sufficient human and natural resources. Sadly, irrational personal desires of a few lead to mismanagement of both types of resources.

The conflict of interests of a few individuals throughout the country's political landscape is the cause of the current socioeconomic and political destabilization.

Humans who are capable of making rational choices must deal with the mess created by humans.

It necessitates avoiding personal ambitions and resentments. In order to ensure everyone's well-being, it must sacrifice its own preferences for those of others.

After comprehensive discussion, fruitful debate, and conclusive dialogue at the national level with rational minds, it is only possible through the renewal of the social contract.

Numerous issues and conflicts have plagued history, but they have always been resolved through dialogue.

Europe, for instance, was wiped out by the two terrible world wars. The leaders of the time agreed on the need to prevent similar disasters in the future.

The dialogue to resolve certain crises resulted in the League of Nations in 1920, the United Nations in 1945, and the European Union in 1993.

In a similar vein, the United Kingdom drafted the Magna Carta in 1215, the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648, and the Catholic-Protestant Reconciliation in 1541 to promote stability.

The severe political crisis in the United States has always been addressed through discussion and dialogue.

Why don't we? Sadly, Pakistan, unlike other sovereign nations, was unable to establish a national culture of inclusive and conclusive dialogue and debate.

Due to a lack of discussion avenues, the major issues remained unresolved.

Other fundamental issues can't be resolved because of political polarization, social segregation, religious extremism, ethnic chauvinism, and economic disparities.

In Pakistan, these issues have made unconstitutionalism, undemocratization, and power illusion a daily occurrence. Since its inception, Pakistan has faced numerous internal political challenges.

Parliament, provincial assemblies, and political parties, in particular, have evolved into large cats without teeth. The country's political powers and authority are messed up.

The only thing involved in party politics is exposing, blaming, and abusing one another; Their favorite pastimes were revenging, pulling legs, and pushing each other to the limit at the expense of ordinary people.

They have hypnotized the country's dumb people. The general public is constantly thrown into a maze of complexities and unrealistic goals by them.

The hapless and hopeless masses are subservient to careless elites. Deception is a term used in Pakistani politics.

Serving the public is less important to them than glorifying themselves. People have been perplexed by Pakistan's polarization, radicalization, and ambiguity in politics.

Discord and social segregation also stand in the way of reaching a national consensus.

Antagonism and chaos in Pakistan have been stoked by the country's social divisions.

Pakistan, as a nation and as a state, has not been able to reach a consensus on social norms, values, and codes since its inception.

The process of restoring national integrity and prosperity is negatively impacted by social dispersion. Currently, 98% of people fall outside the power spectrum. They have been restricted as a means of the elite acquiring power.

Social segregation is deliberately maintained at its highest level in the power struggle realm of the society's elite.

It exacerbates existing issues in society, which ultimately has a negative effect on the nation as a whole.

Additionally, the state institutions have been weakened by the current economic crisis. The educational, judicial, security, health, and administrative sectors have all been at their lowest points.

Even the institutions' efficient normal service delivery has become a pipe dream. High inflation has reduced the purchasing power of the general populace.

In the morning, laborers leave their homes to earn bread, but in the evening, they return to misery. The current economic crisis cannot be resolved by the people or the state.

In the country, people merely observe the blame game of black sheep. The cherished state is close to default.

The issues and complaints are, without a doubt, severe and difficult to resolve all at once.

To address the current social, economic, and political crises, a comprehensive strategy and mechanism are required.

These issues must be taken into account in light of the past, the present, and the prospects for the future.

It is necessary to unite all stakeholders from all walks of life, including socio-economic experts, activists, political leaders, civil and military officials, educators, religious scholars, traders, businessmen, and stakeholders from other fields.

To address the common threats for the common good of all, an inclusive process of sharing knowledge, experience, and intelligence is required.

In a nutshell, the only way to end social segregation, economic crisis, religious fanaticism, and political polarization is through national dialogue.

National integrity, constitutionalism, and democratic principles all depend on national dialogue.

The nation can be saved by only engaging in national dialogue and making educated choices. Why can't we, if the world can solve its problems through dialogue?

The current issues must be addressed through national dialogue now. If not, the worst days are getting closer.
