De-huminshing of the women's under the Taliban Government
The unfortunate people of Afghanistan were once more left in the cruel and vicious grip of the Taliban and their obscurantist medieval philosophy based on the rule of the clergy after American forces in Afghanistan left the country in a hurried and chaotic manner more than a year ago.
The Taliban pledged to the international community at the beginning of their second term that they would lead in a different manner than during their first.
They promised that non-Muslim minorities would not be harmed and that women's and human rights would be protected.
The Taliban government's promises have all been broken over time, one by one.
The international community and financial assistance are desperately needed by the Afghan people.
They are starving, unemployed, and illiterate, and the international community and the Taliban government have completely abandoned them.
Even though Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates had acknowledged the Taliban Government when they took power for the first time in 2021, none of the Muslim nations in the world have yet to do so.
The Taliban's medieval and archaic philosophy is opposed by all civilized nations.
The international community insists that the new Afghan rulers must guarantee women's access to education and employment, respect the rights of non-Muslims, behave in a civilized manner, and ensure transparency in governance before receiving assistance.
Even now, the Taliban are unable to get their hands on the millions of dollars that the Afghan government has frozen in some western nations.
Ironically, it appears as though the world's leaders have completely forgotten about the suffering of the Afghan people.
The conflict in Europe and the plight of the Ukrainian people are currently the top priorities for western democracies.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently traveled to the United States, where he delightedly addressed a joint session of Congress about Russian crimes.
He received a standing ovation from both Republicans and Democrats in the United States for the first time.
Even the prospect of being invited to any Western nation is unthinkable for any Taliban leader. While the world is focused on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in Europe, Kabul is in the grip of some shameful and terrifying actions taken by the Taliban government. Girls who go to school have been told to stay at home, and they have been denied education from elementary school through university.
The Taliban believe that women should stay at home and care for their children and that any form of formal education is pointless. Women are prohibited from working in any capacity.
After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan and promised that women would be able to get an education to the university level, women now face the stark reality that the promises made by the Taliban leaders are empty.
In their infinite ignorance, these men have decided that women do not need to attend college to get an education.
Indeed, education is unnecessary for them. They live in the home every day. They must endure the asphyxiation of head-to-toe clothing on the streets, under the watchful eyes of those self-appointed morality-guardians who carry guns.
Sadly, the rulers of Afghanistan are mired in ignorance and illiteracy. They have decided that their female population does not require any kind of education and should spend their entire lives working for their male counterparts in the home.
The Taliban's policymaking is based on utter misogyny, and ironically, the Taliban leaders are neither educated nor literate enough to even consider policy formulation. Men have the right to decide what women should wear and how they should dress.
The Khmer Rouge's actions in Cambodia sometime in the past are reminiscent of the Taliban's actions in Afghanistan during their first rule.
The Taliban, on the other hand, have focused on seeing women as property that they can own, command, and humiliate in the name of religion, whereas Pol Pot and his associates viewed the entire population of the country as a herd of sheep to be taken out to pasture and stripped of its dignity.
For Afghan women, the rule of the Taliban has had terrible and disastrous effects.
It has been mandated that all foreign non-governmental organizations operating in Afghanistan refrain from engaging women at any level. Now, Afghanistan is back in the medieval era of obscurantism and ignorance.
In many Muslim nations, ignorant and illiterate Mullahs' favorite tactic of denigration of women is now a well-established political reality in Afghanistan.
Dark and sinister religious extremists in Afghanistan have effectively blocked their country's path to a prosperous and civilized future by acting in the name of Islam and losing control of women's modesty.
In Afghanistan, time has stopped or, more accurately, gone back many centuries.
It is fascinating to note how certain Islamic societies have frequently taken it upon themselves to dictate how women should act in public. These societies are a raucous group of men who seriously believe they have a covenant with Allah Almighty to pronounce judgment on every aspect of life.
Because the so-called guardians of the Islamic revolution didn't think the young Mahsa Amini's head should have been covered in a religious way, she died in Iran.
In a way, the empty Kabul schools and universities will soon become like the Bamiyan statues.
Iran's women's lives will be made worse by the ubiquitous chador in Tehran, which will prevent them from developing their intellect and sense of freedom.
Modern governance is needed in today's world. Even though the rest of the world is moving forward, anything less causes a society to revert back to primitive behavior.
